Guidance and Counselling Department

Vision
“My vision for the counselling centre is for it to be a place of refuge—a safe haven for students who feel lost, excluded, alone, or misunderstood. I want every student who walks through its doors to know they will be heard, supported, and never judged. My hope is that the centre becomes a space where they feel free to be themselves, where they can collaborate, seek guidance, and find the strength to heal, grow, and thrive. Ultimately, I want it to be a place of restoration and liberation—a space where no one feels invisible.”
Why I Do What I Do
“I serve as a Guidance Counsellor because I truly believe it's God's purpose for my life—to support and uplift those in need. This calling is deeply rooted in my love for children, neurodivergent individuals, and those who are disadvantaged or overlooked. At Liberty Academy, I believe I am given the opportunity to live out this purpose, with God's help, every single day. Being a Guidance Counsellor allows me to really see each student for who they are, and to get to know them on a deeper level. If I can put a smile on their face, encourage their growth, and help them recognize the brightness of their own light, then I know I’m walking in the path I was meant to follow.”
My Hope For Each Child
“My hope for each student at Liberty is that they not only find love and acceptance from others but also learn to truly accept and love themselves. As they grow physically, I pray they also grow spiritually and emotionally—developing into purpose-driven individuals. I want them to leave Liberty equipped not just with knowledge, but with a strong sense of identity and a heart ready to make a positive impact. My desire is that the lessons they learn here help shape them into the best version of themselves, ready to face the world with confidence and compassion.”
Approach
“My counselling approach is client-centred, focusing on the individual needs and goals of each student. I work collaboratively with students to address a range of concerns, including interpersonal conflicts, emotional regulation, and other personal or social challenges.”
